At times, I struggle with accepting the love of Jesus; accepting who I am in Him and what I have received from Him. If you can relate, then you might be interested in this blog. I pray that I represent Him. I pray that His truth comes through this writing.. The scriptures that He wants me to share are Ephesians 1:6-12 in the King James Version.

"To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us acceptable in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which he hath purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on the earth; even in Him: In whom we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ."

Ephesians 1:6 says He has made us acceptable in the beloved. The beloved refers to Jesus in this scripture. The Greek word for acceptable is charitoo. It is derived from the Greek word charis which means grace. Charitoo means to endue with special honor, make accepted, to be highly favored. Because of the grace of our heavenly Father, we are highly favored through the blood of His Son Jesus!

Ephesians 1: 7-12 goes on to explain what we have received from our heavenly Father to prove to us why He calls us highly favored; that He planned this all along for His good pleasure and purpose. He is a gracious Father.

Ephesians 1: 7-12 in The New Living Translation: Words in parenthesis are mine.

"He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son (redemption!) and forgave our sins (all of them!). He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding ( by the power of His Holy Spirit). God has now revealed to us His plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure.

And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ-everything in heaven and on earth. Further more, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God (we are His inheritance!), for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan."

In Ephesians 1:10 in the King James Version it states: "That in the dispensation of the fulness of times". Fulness in the Greek is pleroma which means completion. At the completion of God's plan everything in heaven and on the earth will be under the authority of His Son Jesus. This has been God's plan since His Son Jesus was born.

This portion of scripture in Ephesians helps me to recognize the grace of God for me and all of mankind. It causes me to see the love of the Father and His plans for all of us. Through His Son we receive His grace, wisdom and understanding. We are a part of His plan for heaven and earth. God is doing this because salvation for all of us brings Him pleasure. His heart of love and how He views us is revealed in verse 6. We have been endued with special honor, made acceptable and are highly favored. As I meditate on what He has done for me and who He says I am, my struggle to know and feel His love is lessened. In fact, as I sit here writing, I am overcome with truth. The God who created the earth and the heavens has sent His Son to redeem me with His blood, forgive my sins and this gives God such pleasure that He calls me acceptable. He considers me a gift, a blessing, highly favored with special honor!! I am in a place of special honor!! My Heavenly Father has planned for me to be "the praise of His glory" and one of His own. This is true for you reading this as well as for all mankind. Praise be to God!

"Arise, shine: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Isaiah 60:1 KJV

"May your ways be known throughout the earth, your saving power among people everywhere." Psalm 67:2 NLT

I encourage you to meditate on the Word of God. Praise Him for His love and blessings on us.

Meditate on Psalm 67 and worship Him. The Spirit of the Father is pouring out and He is calling you His own!! You are highly favored!! Blessed be the Lord God Almighty!!
